I called a few hotels in the city trying to request an early checkin, as my train to Umeå was to arrive very early in the morning. Scandic offered the smartest policy for an early checkin, staff was really helpful compared to other hotels that I called, and there were bikes for rent at the hotel, so I didn’t hesitate with my reservation. My room had a beautiful panoramic view and was spacious. Breakfast was good and was generously served until 11 am which was just great, letting more time to sleep. I was very happy with my choice and my stay in Umeå.

We had an overnight stopover en route to northern sweden. Ideal location to have a short visit to this lovely town. Reception staff were very helpful. Not all facilities were open because of Christmas but they gave us a free upgrade because of this

Sauna was great, excellent view from both the room and the wellness/gym area, I enjoyed the breakfast and the overall aesthetic

Arrived here late but luckily the reception is open until 24:00. Room was really nice and the breakfast was great, with loads of options. It is near different car parking options if you are driving.

The receptionist is so nice and very helpful that when I missed my breakfast, she hand me over a spare breakfast package and made my day with a nice hospitality. Unfortunately I don't remember her name. Shout out to her helpful and professionalism.

Cheerful and very helpful personnel. Travelled with family and needed 2 rooms. Appeared that set I ordered via booking.com was not possible on the same floor. But they have upgraded one of my rooms for free, so we could stay close to each other. This is very much appreciated. Overall all in order, modest and cozy. Superior view from the window towards the river and the bridges. First time we deliberately spent some time late night gazing on the surrounding lights and slow motion traffic. That was impressive.
